We are a fully-integrated supplier of manufacturing and engineering services providing modular assemblies and complex stampings for body-in-white, drive-train, interior and seating applications for the automotive industry. We are looking for a Maintenance Robotic/Electrical Technician to join our team at our Brampton, ON facility.

Position Overview:

Support production by ensuring the safe repair and operation of all machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Reteach robot path and troubleshoot all robotic related faults.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform maintenance repairs of production equipment.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect fault operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Comply with requirements as outlined in the company handbook and the OHSA.
  • Practice good housekeeping.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Robot knowledge and troublehooting (Fanuc).
  • Mig/Spot welding knowledge (Medar and Lincoln).
  • PLC experience (Allen-Bradley).

Education and/or Experience

  • Industrial Electrician license and six (6) months related experience and/or training; or Associates’ degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or three (3) years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
