WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As part of this rewarding role you will be working on installation, repair, and maintenance of pool equipment. You will be the face to our residential and commercial customers in providing superior service and general guidelines. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will also be:

  • Installing, troubleshooting and repairing commercial pool/spa equipment
  • Installing and repairing all PVC plumbing
  • Installing, troubleshooting and programming of automated chemical control systems and feeders
  • Pool and spa winterization
  • Water testing and chemical balancing
  • And there are always those surprises which means - Other duties as required

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience (3-5 years aquatic industry and 2 years customer service)
  • Team Player
  • Quick Thinker
  • Credibility and integrity
  • High regard for health and safety policies and practices
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Working knowledge of general plumbing hydraulics; repair or replacement of pumps, filters, timers, pool cleaners, UV’s, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing; repair suction problems as well as priming problems and high/low pressure problems
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Clean background check – some of our customers require this
  • Basic knowledge of electrical equipment
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) an asset but not required
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds

 

WHEN AND WHERE:

  • Monday to Friday with occasional weekends when needed
  • Start of the Day: Varying – typically between 6:30 – 7:00am on various sites around Southwestern Ontario
  • End of the Day: Dependent on the daily project details and specifications
  • Indoor and outdoor
  • Mechanical rooms
