Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation (LWDHF) is the lifeline between your community and your hospital. LWDHF is growing and has an exciting job opportunity for a full time Development Coordinator. The successful applicant will work under the Executive Director and the LWDHF Board.

 

Required knowledge, skills and abilities for the Development Coordinator role:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Admin, Marketing or equivalent preferred
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong work ethic,
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment,
  • Foster positive relationships with current and potential business partners and donors
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently and with minimal supervision
  • Experience planning large-scale events and fundraisers
  • Demonstrated professional written/electronic documentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated sound judgement and decision making skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced and team work environment

 

The Development Coordinator will be responsible for the following at LWDHF:

  • Coordinates all aspects of fundraising events and activities planning to execution
  • Establishes a realistic budget for events and accounts for anticipated fundraising outcomes
  • Works with the LWDH Communications Team to promote fundraising events using flyers, advertisements and digital marketing outreach
  • Assist in writing grant proposals and developing event opportunities
  • Research and identify prospective new donors and proactively initiate sponsorship and funding
  • Assists in helping the Executive Director in the development of fundraising goals and works to achieve and surpass these goals
  • Works directly with the LWDHF team to manage project workflow and oversee day to day milestones for projects
  • Assists in day-to-day operations of the LWDHF office as required
