The Responsibilities

Responsible for  operating variety of manufacturing equipment such as tube mills, welders, extruders and ancillary equipment used for manufacturing instrumentation wire and cable products on tube mills, high speed, high-temp extrusion lines.

Specific duties include:

• Operating production equipment, such as tube mills, uncoilers, take ups, pay-offs
• Operating extruding machines, tooling, tips and dies, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Perform job set-ups, adjustments, start-ups, and shutdowns in accordance with specifications and standard operating procedures
• Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Ensuring all quality standards are always met during the process.
• Working on process improvement.
• Maintaining production records.
• Observing established safety regulations and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervising manager.

Skills and experience

• Mechanical acumen
• Experience with tube mills or extrusion lines an asset
• Proficiency in operating forklift and overhead cranes an asset
