As one of Alberta’s leading manufacturer for wood truss systems and engineered floors, we are currently recruiting for a motivated, Truss Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This opportunity will be offered to the right person who understands the importance of working safely at all times and being an inclusive and respectful team player. Previous experience in building trusses is an asset however, training will be available for the right candidate.


What You Can Expect:

  • Shift work – 3x 12 hour shifts/week
  • Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires
  • Manufacturing plant environment – Indoor/climate controlled
  • Working with and around lumber products
  • Standing for extended periods/Repetitive Hammering
  • Physically demanding – lifting and stacking, able to lift up to 75lbs safely


With support from the Manager, Plant Operations and our manufacturing team, you will:

  • Read/follow assembly sheets
  • Gather correct material carts/verifying quantity
  • Select proper plates as per drawings as well as proper plate positioning
  • Assemble wood roof trusses per design specs
  • Follow safe work practices and all health, safety and Company policies
  • Use pneumatic tools

 

We are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma - preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as truss assembler or construction labourer – considered an asset and will be preferred
  • Knowledge of woodworking/framing preferred/pneumatic tools
  • Ability to read an assembly sheet
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • General labour/tasks
