Company Overview:

Our companyis a General Contracting Company focused primarily on Restoration and Renovation of multi unit residential and commercial projects in the GTA.  We are growing rapidly, so we are seeking an experienced Project Manager who wants to grow and develop with us.  We are looking for an individual who will help build our reputation by providing excellent service while maintaining high levels of professionalism at all times.

 

Job Description

  • Manage multiple projects in various stage of activities
  • Provide specific expertise and critical thinking for problem solving
  • Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
  • Coordinate completion of construction activities.
  • Prepare customer proposals and project change order
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, scope, and schedule
  • Develop project schedule and monitor/update as project progresses
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Supervise the work of laborers and subtrades and give them guidance when needed
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
  • Control and monitor project processes, document tracking, managing project changes

 

Skills

  • Proven experience as construction project manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • Punctual and have a good work ethic

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry as a Project Manager.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Canadian construction experience is a must.
  • Driver's License (required)
