Description
The All Nations Health Partners Physician Recruiter/Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) Site Administrative Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the Kenora area and surrounding communities are promoted as a sustainable and thriving employment target for physicians and prospective medical students. The position is expected to create structures and carry out processes to fulfil short, medium, and long-term human resource goals to meet the area’s healthcare needs.
Reporting to the Manager, Education Training & Development, this position involves ongoing collaboration with the All Nations Health Partners Recruitment Committee, support of NOSM’s community-based programs, learners and stakeholders to fulfill the daily administrative functions and reporting requirements. The successful incumbent will be tasked with working with partner organizations to identify physician recruitment needs for the Kenora area, and to develop and implement a plan to recruit and retain physicians to the area.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree, in health-related discipline or business field or relevant combination of education and experience
- Experience in recruitment, or in a professional health environment will be an asset
- Understanding of First Nation, Inuit, and Metis culture, values and perspectives and experience working with indigenous people and organizations; ability to understand and speak Anishinaabemowin an asset
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated passion for the community and cheerleader for the Kenora area
- Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and process management skills
- Valid drivers’ license and own vehicle required; copy of current drivers’ abstract required
- Willingness and ability to travel
