Our company is your Maritime John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you, and we are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Sales Manager at our Truro, NS location.

Purpose:

Works with the Branch Manager to manage sales functions including providing guidance on sales processes, coaching, and developing sales professionals. Responsible for branch inventory audits, and works with Sales, Parts, and Service Departments to create a cohesive environment, making recommendations of opportunities for the sale of parts and service products.


Responsibilities

  • Represents the company in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area/store and maintains commitment to the company brand
  • Stays current on product knowledge, features, and benefits of all equipment
  • Proactively monitors competitive activity/products and communicates to management

  • Assists with the preparation and execution of all customer events and field demonstrations

  • Monitors and reports on trends in customer's business activities and communicates information appropriately
  • Maintains knowledge of financing options and assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Attends applicable sales training events as required
  • Works with used equipment process to mitigate risk, ensure accurate used valuations, and drive equipment trading process
  • Works with sales reps to achieve Annual Sales Goals and grow market share
  • Submits sales in a timely fashion, following all sales processes
  • Help new salespeople in structuring deals while staying within margin parameters
  • Give input in the management of existing sales staff and offer assistance in recruitment and selection of new sales staff


Requirements

  • 3+ years equipment sales experience
  • Knowledge of turf equipment operations and uses an asset
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, Accurate, Articulate
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
