We are hiring for an Electrical Estimator.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing bid estimates for electrical installations all over Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
• Managing all Tender related documents from take-off to completion of the pricing document.
• Performing detailed specification and drawing reviews.
• Distributing and maintaining control of bid documents.
• Preparing material take-offs based upon the electrical drawings and electrical scope of work.
• Contacting electrical wholesalers for quotations on various types of electrical equipment.
• Issuing purchase orders to suppliers for electrical equipment.
• Using Microsoft Excel daily to complete pricing documents.
• Negotiating tenders to achieve the best value available from the market.
• Comparing tender and construction documentation and keeping track of any variations.
• Preparing project change orders.
• Using field mark ups to produce red-line drawings.
• Preparing project start up and close out documentation.
• Communicating with suppliers, consulting engineers and main contractors to ensure deadlines are met.
• Using the RFI system to seek clarification on tender related queries

Qualifications:

• Post secondary education in engineering, construction management or related field
• 1+ Years of estimating or experience or related experience in electrical installations.
• Ability to interpret blueprints is essential.
• Microsoft Suites
• Electrical site experience is considered an asset.
• Trimble Accubid experience is an asset
• AutoCAD experience is an asset
