JOB SUMMARY:

To efficiently, effectively and safely meet or exceed quality standards set by the customer or company. Liaison is maintained with Design, Production and senior management on unforeseen problems and delays. Maintain quality documentation for each production line and ensure all quality standards established by customer and/or Company are being satisfied.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Generates pallet tags and lot and expiry labels, case labels and issues such to the line when needed. Generates and issues labels to the line, when lot codes change mid-shift.

§ Leads in the training of the Line Leaders along with the Production Supervisor for that shift.

§ Participates in the first off process to ensure production lines are running to customer and product specifications.

§ Assists Line Leaders with counts at the beginning and end of shifts of all feeder stock at the line and confirms the information documented by the line leaders is accurate via performing reconciliation reviews daily.

§ Approves every lot by completing a Finished Product Release as per SOP (accountabilities, labels/tags correct, verifies FG counts to paperwork etc). If OK places a “green” sticker on every skid.

§ Oversee the production of the complete package to ensure an “A” Quality product from start to finish.

§ Completes hourly quality checks on lines as per SOP.

§ Assists in monthly physical inventories when required.

ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

§ High school diploma and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

§ Microsoft programs

§ Visual/Purchasing

§ Relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal

§ Organizational and time management

§ Demonstrates good judgment in examining and resolving problems and respects the confidentiality of company business, customers, and other personnel (pay, etc.)

§ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, or quality regulations

§ Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization

§ Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

§ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, staff, customers, and suppliers

§ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

§ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

§ Some Manufacturing Noise, Compressor, forklift, small machine (low noise level)

§ Office environment, photocopiers, printers, etc.
