We are your Maritime John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you, and we are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Precision Agriculture Consultant at either our Woodstock NB or Grand Falls NB location.

Purpose:

Provide expertise at the dealership surrounding crop production systems and agronomic best practices, and build credibility with customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Integrated Solutions Manager in the delivery of the dealership’s John Deere Precision Ag services.
• Assist in leading the organization in the area of John Deere precision farming products and agronomic knowledge
• Ensure understanding of John Deere Precision Ag solutions in sales, service, parts, and all other departments
• Promote understanding across the dealership of the latest production practices and their overall agronomic impact
• Serve as the internal and external technical specialist for new precision farming products
• Work directly with customers to help select the best Precision Ag solution for their operation
• Remains current on production practices, latest trends, and changes in regulations.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge

• 2+ years' experience in an agriculture-related role
• Dealership sales, service, integrated solutions, training, or other Precision Ag/GPS related work experience preferred
• Certified Crop Advisor Certification preferred
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Demonstrates leadership, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers
• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience preferred
