POSITION OVERVIEW

The successful UV Strip Press Operator will be responsible for operating a UV Strip press within set production targets/standards.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow docket specifications to create a quality product
  • Responsible for operation of Strip presses within set production targets/standards
  • Produce printed product to order specifications.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a high paced environment
  • Perform all press setup tasks associated with Strip Press Operation
  • Install and run rewettable glue
  • Setting up sheeter & wrapper
  • Enter data into logics & complete all necessary paperwork
  • Perform operational maintenance
  • General housekeeping to maintain clean and tidy work environment

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years off-set web press operating experience
  • Proven understanding of ink and fountain solution balance
  • Ability to trouble shoot print related problems quickly and implement corrective measures
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Proven understanding operational and preventative maintenance of print related equipment
  • Must be prepared to work 5 x 24 or 7 x 24 schedule and overtime as required
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
