Button Top Log Loader Operator

We are a major Canadian Pole producer specializing in CCA treated utility poles and agricultural products. We are seeking to hire Labourers for our plant in Peers, AB.

We have plants in Both Brisco, BC and Peers AB. In addition to our pole manufacturing and treating, Brisco also sells treated posts & rails and we also custom treat a variety of wood products.

General Summary: Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, the Operator is required to Unload trucks, feed dowel plant, sort post wood as well as general cleanup and other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks efficiently focusing on Safety, Quality and Production while meeting deadlines.
• Safe operation of a button top for unloading post wood, feeding dowel plant, sorting wood.
• Check and Fill out paperwork accurately.
• Daily equipment checks, Maintenance and Service
• Work effectively together with assigned crew.
• Following established procedures to safely produce high quality results.

Qualifications:

• Experience in operating a Button Top log Loader.
• Ability to follow direction and work together with others to complete assigned tasks.
• Experience in equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Background in the Forest Industry a definite asset.
• Self reliant, organized, motivated, and quality oriented.
