Company Overview:

We are a firmly established rental business in Timmins, and are currently seeking a full-time Manager to lead and grow our business.

 

Role Overview:

The Manager provides leadership and direction to achieve the company’s mission, objectives, and strategic plan. As Manager, you will be on the phone, on your feet, and in the field to advance our strategic plan and vision.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage the operations of the company’s sales and maintenance personnel and will promote the company within the community. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company, including budgets, daily operations, as well as community and public relations. 

 

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years experience working in the rental industry in a leadership or management role
  • Understand the Technical Safety Standards Association (TSSA) regulations as it relates to rental equipment, including mining regulations
  • Understanding of basic accounting principals and are generally great with numbers
  • Degree/diploma in business administration, communications, marketing, community planning, economic development, or related field and/or equivalent experience in these fields
  • Knowledgeable of the duties and requirements of operating an office, as well as the necessary Personnel and Human Resources requirements for a small support staff
  • Have experience managing a small team of staff. and are comfortable giving them the opportunity to innovate and create
  • Have knowledge of civic and provincial government structure and operations
  • Understand the rental market in consumer, commercial, and industry trend
  • Project management skills
  • bilingual, English/French is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Word, excel and outlook
  • Able to be ‘on call’ to meet customer needs.
