As a Lighting Project Manager, you will be a crucial part of our organization. You will manage the installation process of multiple LED lighting and controls projects across Canada. Your work will include detailed and ongoing management of labour, material and equipment required to complete Lighting Retrofit projects for a diverse set of clients. You will work closely with senior management, clients, and installation teams to deliver high quality results.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete the construction of electrical projects by planning, organizing, and controlling project resources such as labour, material and equipment
  • Communicate clearly with project installation teams (employees and subcontractors) and Clients (Owners, Consultants, Managers)
  • Facilitate installation processes by coordinating logistics and assist with project logistics where needed.
  • Ensure quality of project and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, such as such as Quotations, Change Orders, Meeting Minutes, and project Schedules
  • Foster high productivity by supervising sub-contractors and staff installation teams
  • Take responsibility for project results
  • Oversee the health and safety requirements of the projects
  • Report on project progress and performance regularly to the management team
  • Hybrid Work (Office, Home, Job Site)

 

Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience and qualifications (Certificate, PMP, etc.)
  • Experience in a Contracting Business in Canada (Electrical Preferred)
  • Experience with CCDC Project Documents and Construction Contracting
  • Strong Organization, Communication, Math, and Estimating Abilities
  • Strong computer user skills, Comfortable collaborating with MS Teams, Familiar with Windows 10 Operating System and able to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Software
  • Comfortable managing others, by supervising workers, inspecting work and delegating electrical construction tasks.
  • Experience estimating electrical construction tasks and projects an asset
  • Dedicated to safety, quality and honesty in the workplace
  • Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario and Canadian Building Codes as related to Electrical Systems
  • Ontario Master Electrician License, Professional Engineer, or Certified Engineering Technologist designations will be considered an asset.

 

Requirements:

  • OSSD or Equivalent Mandatory
  • Driver’s License
  • Security Clearance and Criminal Record Check required
  • Business travel requirements within Canada (Estimated at 4 Weeks Per Year)
