As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth for our construction services and restorations business.

 

Overview:

Responsible for leading and optimizing our operational activities to ensure efficiency, profitability, and superior service delivery. You will work closely with our senior management team to develop, and implement strategic initiatives. Will also manage day-to-day operations, enhance operational processes, and drive business growth.

 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth and Business Development:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Management Team to develop and execute strategic plans, objectives, and initiatives to achieve business growth and profitability
  • Monitor industry trends, identify emerging opportunities, and recommend strategic adjustments to stay ahead of the competition
  • Develop and grow relationships with key stakeholders including customers, vendors, and industry partners

 

Operational Management:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to sales and operations teams, ensuring clear direction, performance objectives, and accountability
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices, streamlining processes, and leveraging technology to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure operational efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary

 

Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control
  • Monitor financial performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize profitability
  • Analyze financial data, market trends, and other relevant information to make informed operational decisions and drive business growth

 

Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Risk Mitigation:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all operational activities
  • Implement quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship, customer satisfaction, and service delivery
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and rectify any non-compliance issues

 

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing operational team by recruiting, training, and retaining top talent
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to enhance individual and team capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in a senior operational role within the construction and/or restoration industry
  • Strong knowledge of restoration and/or construction methodologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Financial acumen with the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and optimize profitability
