Essential Functions:

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Generate reports in an effort to determine accounts previously disconnected for non-payment that have not, through payment, reconnected water services.

Investigates pre-determined accounts in order to determine if water services have been illegally accessed; provides documentation and photographs of activity.

Monitors all previous tamper activities: follows up with appropriate measures.

Investigates possible water meter tampering issues as reported by other departments.

Determines the proper course of action when illegal offenses occur based on Loss Prevention policies.

Makes recommendations, based on activity, of necessary police involvement.

Maintains records and tracks all activities and the results of accounts visited.

Provides accurate documentation of fees assessed: keeps accurate records of measures taken to deter further illegal usage.

Provides accurate information for Levels of Service objectives.

Assists with Account Service Representatives with job duties as needed.

Assists Account Services and Meter Services Supervisor as needed

Maintains all Meter Services weekly vehicle inspection reports.

Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures.

Operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.

Communicates with supervisor, other CCWA employees, law enforcement, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.

Additional Functions:

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; supplemented by two years of experience in account services, meter reading, meter repair or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all CCWA or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.

 

PAYGRADE:                         16H (starts at $21.648/hour)
