We’re looking for a Certified Electrician (Red Seal Certification preferred) to join our largest sawmill, located in High Level, Alberta. Our High Level Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces forest products for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  •  Apply your knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems to troubleshoot electrical issues and come up with safe, reliable fixes.
  • Use your broad electrical experience to do preventative maintenance as well as installations and upgrades, working on a variety of motors, hydraulic motion controls, optimizers and encoders - just to name a few.
  •  Work on continuously improving equipment reliability to come up with solutions that keep our industrial electrical equipment and controls repaired and maintained.
  •  Apply your organizational and planning skills to carry out maintenance projects and programs.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in the trade
  • A valid Interprovincial ticket.
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - preferably JD Edwards.
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to work independently and are a strong contributor to a high-performance team.
  • Comfort in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is considered an asset.
  • Have previous experience in a forest products environment? That’s a bonus too!
