Onboarding Specialist
At Risas Dental and Braces we firmly believe our people and culture are the secrets to our success; and that begins with a phenomenal onboarding experience. As the Onboarding Specialist it will be your responsibility to make sure every teammate and doctor feels special, well supported, warmly welcomed, and as if they've finally found their place. In this role you will partner with leaders to ensure every new hire has a positive onboarding experience over the course of their first 90 days, implement our onboarding strategy, and facilitate new hire orientation class. The ideal candidate for this role is outgoing, professional, and motivated.
Duties:
- Facilitate the New Hire Orientation class several times a month. Ensure all new teammates attend class.
- Develop training materials, presentations, e-learning modules, and interactive activities for new hires.
- Partner with leaders to ensure they have an onboarding and training plan for each new hire.
- Train and maintain a list of onboarding “buddies” to be paired with each new hire. Ensure the buddies are doing their welcoming duties.
- Execute the new hire check-in strategy which involves phone calls, emails, and texts.
- Hold a regular one on one with each leader to ensure they are providing the new hire with feedback at the designated check points. Proactively identify and resolve any issues from the new hire or the leader.
- Obtain feedback from new teammates and doctors who have completed their 90 days, aggregate data collected and make recommendations for improvement to the onboarding strategy.
- Maintain inventory of new hire SWAG.
- Assist leadership with building an onboarding schedule for each doctor that includes training sessions, shadowing, tours, etc.
- Assist leadership with gathering documents from new doctors.
- Provides regular check ins with the new doctors to proactively identify any concerns/questions and resolves them.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with Power Point and presenting to a group, preferred.
- Team player adept at collaborating with others
- Self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and problem-solve with minimal supervision
- Continuous desire to improve existing processes and develop creative solutions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to deliver training content in a highly engaging, informative way
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Must have excellent people skills, including being able to build trust, identify nonverbal cues, build relationships, engage others, and demonstrate positive energy
