Our company is actively seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to become an integral part of our Design & Drafting Team within our single-family division. As a leading, award-winning builder, we have dedicated ourselves to earning the title of the 'Homebuyer’s Best Friend'.

We are in search of a candidate who will play a key role in transforming our architectural visions into tangible, cost-effective solutions that can be efficiently constructed. This position reports directly to our Senior Manager of Design & Drafting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive working drawings, including plot plans, to support various construction projects.
  • Create new and innovative construction details as per project requirements.
  • Collaborate on a diverse range of projects involving multiple home types and various lot sizes.
  • Review contract documents and customer changes, updating standard plans, and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to architectural control guidelines.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Architectural and Building Technology.
  • Experience in the home building industry.
  • A strong commitment to customer service and technical excellence.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with industry professionals, tradespeople, and regulatory authorities.
  • Thorough understanding of local building codes, by-laws, and architectural controls.
  • Self-motivated, diligent, with exceptional communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player who ensures accuracy and timeliness in collaborative efforts.
