Description
The Supervisor of Patient Registration, Switchboard, and Emergency CICs oversees the daily operations of the patient registration team to ensure efficient, accurate, and compassionate service delivery. This role is responsible for staff supervision, workflow optimization, staffing of vacant shifts, compliance with hospital policies and regulations, and fostering a patient-centered approach to registration and admissions.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years in patient registration, admitting, or a related healthcare administrative role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity an asset
- Knowledge of healthcare systems eg. Meditech, patient relations, emergency management switchboard operating systems etc.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification, PHIPPA regulations, and healthcare compliance
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide team members
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive data
- Experience in union environments and collective bargaining agreements
- Class G driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel to attend off site hospital locations as required
- Familiarity with staffing Payroll software
- Reliable attendance record
