What we want ! 

-Someone with a mechanical and electrical background, and a general competency in machine repair and diagnostics. A mechanic or millwright would be an asset but not required.

-Experience in manufacturing industry ideal

-The ability to work unsupervised with instruction and meeting deadlines

-Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and able to work both safely and efficiently is expected.         Further training available if required.

 

What you will be doing:

-Clean and lubricate equipment, perform routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment as per schedule

-Diagnose mechanical problems and expedite repair on machinery and equipment

-Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions, repair or replace defective parts

-Operate lifting devices such as forklifts (bonus asset having forklift license), scissor lifts and booms to reach elevated equipment     for repair or maintenance

-Operate tools such as lathes, grinders, pneumatic tools, compressed air tools, drill press, band saw and welding tools

-Execute preventative maintenance activities including trouble shooting and for all equipment in a timely manner

-Participate in safety programs and ensure the application of our safety standards for all maintenance operations

-Work in a safe productive manner to maximize quality and efficiency while minimizing maintenance cost and unscheduled   downtime

-Logging of all maintenance activities daily to ensure machines are maintained and safety protocols are up to date
