As an Instrumentation and Electrical Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of all Instrumentation and Electrical components in gas compression related facilities. 

This position will report directly to Branch Manager, and Electrical Supervisor. Candidates will be responsible for supporting both new and used gas compression equipment in the North Dakota Region.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compressor packages / plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment
  • Use and maintain pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faults
  • Consult with and advise process operators and Field Engineers
  • Repair, maintain, and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
  • Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes
  • Interpret and use appropriate NEC, ISA, and API installation standards and practices

 

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Certification license in North Dakota required
  • 10 or more years’ experience as an EIC Technician
  • Previous Maintenance Services experience required (e.g. steady state, Turnaround, Shutdown, Outage, etc.)
  • Valid US Driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to read P&ID, Instrument Index, Shutdown Key, and Control Narrative
  • Instrumentation and Measurement experience would be considered an asset
  • Experience working and executing maintenance in a live plant
  • Current Industry Safety Certifications including; OSHA GI 10hr or greater, PEC Safeland, PEC H2S Clear, First Aid, CPR, AED, and BBP
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
