Your Role and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for estimating multiple projects with values ranging from $100,000 to $250,000 and more
- Ability to lead pursuits and review project estimates with management, preparing and maintaining bid packages and tender documents.
- Contacting subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely bid submissions and accurate quotations
- Performing accurate takeoffs for Heavy Civil (Site Services, Excavation & Concrete Quantities) manually and with the use of electronic estimating software.
- Attending site-visits if required.
- MUST have appropriate post-secondary education in construction estimation, engineering or other relevant field.
Job description:
- Estimation of concrete forming, concrete, rebar, excavation, pipe laying
- Experience in pre contract QS, including managing and preparing the response to new tenders
- Experience in post contract QS, including issuing progress claims, interim payments and follow ups
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or other similar post-secondary education
- Minimum 3 years experience working as an estimator
- Experience in Take Offs (Underground Utilities, and Concrete Quantities)
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently
- A systematic work philosophy with keen attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
